Mahabodhi Maitri Mandala
Mahabodhi Maitri Mandala, (MMM) Bengaluru, was founded in 1956 by the Venerable Acharya Buddharakkhita. The aim of the Mahabodhi Maitri Mandala is to put into practice compassion in action through educational, medical, cultural, spiritual, and other humanitarian services. MMM is serving the nation through running schools, hostels, college, old age home, medical centers, hospital dana services, meditation programs, de-addiction programs, etc. Moral education based on culture, values of life, dedication, patriotism and gratitude are emphasised to build a strong Atmanirbhar Bharat. The spirit and guidance of the founder Venerable Acharya, who has struggled through the freedom movement to renunciate life and dedicatedly sacrificed everything for the sake of serving the sick, destitute, poor and the needy, is the main force behind practicing Compassion in Action. The founder has aptly named the organisation as Mahabodhi Maitri Mandala – an association that aspires leading to enlightenment through compassion and love.

Our Activities
Educational Institution
Providing free education to countless underprivileged and economically disadvantaged students across India, our schools and colleges empower youth with opportunities for a brighter future and social upliftment.
Old Age Home
A home for elderly men and women, offering them comfortable accommodation and care, where they can live peacefully with dignity and receive the support they need in their later years.
Medical Center
A medical center in remote Diyun, Arunachal Pradesh, providing essential care and support to thousands in need, ensuring access to healthcare services for underserved communities in this region.
Meditation and Yoga
We offer meditation and yoga sessions for the well-being of individuals, promoting physical and mental health, relaxation, and mindfulness, accessible to everyone seeking balance and harmony in daily life.
